One of my main philosophies in teaching is to take what seems to be complex and make it
simple! When you are playing music, you don't want to get bogged down thinking of a million
complex theories and rules. I'll help you to master complex theory while keeping everything
in simple and easy-to-use concepts. This process helps you to become a great player, being able
to actually use what you know to express your musical ideas as freely as possible.
Each lesson is customized and tailored to fit your specific needs. I'll work with you on a
one-to-one basis to help you to become the player you want to be.
Here are some of the things I'll be working on with you:
You'll learn how to build, play and use any and all chords from a triad to 7th, 9th, 11th and 13th chords, and every variation. Again, I'll work with you, using simple concepts to keep this process simple and easy to use.
I'll work with you on scales that cover the entire fretboard, from one end to the other. Knowing all your scales in this fashion gives you the ability to solo at any time, in any key, anywhere on the fretboard. The more limitless you are in knowing your scales, the more limitless you'll be in soloing. This may sound like a lot to master, but again, I break this process down into a step-by-step process that makes all this information simple and easy to use. ;-)
The term Music Theory is unfortunately somewhat intimidating to some players. Music theory is really just a series of rules and ways to explain and understand music. It's just a tool you can use to make YOUR music sound better!
I'll teach you about:
Once again, I break all this down into a step-by-step process that makes all this information simple and easy to use. ;-)
Other aspects of playing I can work with you on:
Everything I've mentioned here can be thought of as complicated and a lot to handle,
but each lesson is custom tailored to your needs, using a step-by-step process
that makes the information easy to understand and easy to use.
